Joaquin was an amazing server!!! He was so sweet and nice Very accommodating I will definitely ask for him next time I come
Daniel was the best and the food was amazing. The view is one of the best L.A. Daniel's suggestions and honesty were spot on. Ask to be seated at one of his tables for superb service. We came for my husband's birthday and we were not disappointed. The cocktails were also amazing. The whole experience was amazing! The only downfall is the multiple elevators you have to take to get to the 71st floor. But the view is well worth it!
Best steak I've ever had. Definitely recommend especially for special occasions dinners
Came on a Saturday evening with no reservation, as a party of 7, were greeted welcoming and seated in a far room without a wait time. The view from the 70th floor (reached by 1-2 elevators) was amazing, as you can see all the lights in the city of Los Angeles. There was a decent amount of wait after ordering but it is worth it for the careful, flavorful craftsmanship that goes into these masterpieces. However, this gave us time to chat between friends so all was well. We ordered many appetizers and sides between us, some which include Mac & Cheese, asparagus, mashed potatoes, pomme frites, charcuterie and the prawns (However I am only picturing some). I ordered the New York Steak, Medium Rare, which included a chile that was not spicy, but added bites that paired well. I inquired about lobster options outside of the seafood tower and mac, and our server mentioned that for an additional charge I would be able to turn my meal into a surf and turf, which I went with. It was very rich and I did not struggle to enjoy it. My steak had a beautiful pink inside with a gorgeous, pleasing, brown outer-layer. I thoroughly enjoyed the texture and taste. We were checked on very frequently by our servers, which provided outstanding service with any questions inquiries, drink refills, and more. La Boucherie was quite expensive but that was not an issue for my party, as we came for the experience and to spend time together. Which was amazing by the way, definitely recommend!!
Spent a night at The InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown which is where this astounding restaurant resides, so thought I'd have dinner here. Located one floor up from the 70th floor lobby, this is easily one of the top three steakhouses I've ever visited on this planet. Dark woods with floor-to-ceiling windows make for a visual experience you won't forget! I sidled up to the bar first. Well, this bar should win at least a few awards for design, selection, and cocktail recipes. There's no better way to start a meal than to start here! Their Whiskey Sour is a must. I was seated at a two-top right along the windows and had a perfect panoramic view all the way to the Pacific. Granted, the sun had already gone down a couple hours before, but it was still amazing to see myself looking out at eye-level with the tops of those famous Downtown LA skyscrapers. I got my usual steakhouse dinner: Filet with creamed spinach, but this time I started with a crabcake appetizer. This crabcake was as big as my hand, and pretty-much the best one I've ever eaten! I also got a side of their mashed potatoes with my main course, and they were galactically good. Washed it all down with a glass of 2020 Daou Vineyard "Soul of A Lion" Cabernet from Paso Robles. This wine ... one of the single best California Cabs I ever had. Oh man, I'm a slobbering Basset Hound just thinking about this meal! :-D La Boucherie is a special place. As such, budget as if you're dining in Dubai or St. Barts. This kind of excellence does NOT come cheap. Will I be back? Oh, but YES!
Absolute beauty of LA view! I love this spot for breakfast I'm a vegan but my mom is not We both were content with the food & service My mom's 1st visit in USA& 60th birthday coming up soon. It was a fascinating place to visit. The mushroom toast looks simple but the taste is not. That's what I like. The server was nice and he remembered me when I came back on next day :) I probably go back there soon & new favorite place for special occasion
La Boucherie was everything I hoped it would be! I was looking to treat myself to a nice pasta and cocktail one evening and decided to go to La Boucherie for dinner and a view. I enjoyed the Squid Ink Pasta with Scallops and their Botanist Gin Lavender Cocktail. The pasta was very rich, filling, and paired nicely with the tart cocktail. The scallops were perfectly cooked and came with the black squid ink noodles with a garlic aioli sauce. Beneath the noodles was a red marinara sauce that had a nice touch of acidity that complemented the creamy garlic sauce. The cocktail was delicious and there were so many other interesting combinations of cocktails I would love to try someday! If you're a fan of craft drinks, you'll really enjoy the selection here. The service was friendly, and personable which really added to the upscale yet relaxed vibe of the place Looking forward to coming back to La Boucherie for another special occasion.
La Boucherie offers a dining experience elevated by its stunning views of the city and an impressive bar stocked with high-quality spirits. It's the perfect spot to bring out of town guest for a night out with an elegant experience. We started with a Caesar salad, which was crisp and fresh, and a side of creamy Mac n Cheese that was indulgent and comforting. For mains, we tried the steak--it was good, though not particularly memorable. The real standout was the scallops paired with squid ink pasta. The dish was flavorful, with perfectly cooked scallops and a delightful spicy kick in the pasta that gave it an unexpected twist. The service started strong but slowed down towards the end of the meal. It seemed like our server got a bit too busy, but overall, it didn't overshadow the delicious food and the ambiance. La Boucherie is a solid choice for the view, cocktails, and a delicious meal, even if a few small details could be polished. Would we go back? Maybe for a special occasion.
My friends and I made a reservation ahead of time for a Saturday night at 6 PM. I just have to say, from the moment we walked in, to the moment we stepped out of the restaurant, we were treated so nicely. A++ for service right off the bat! My friend ordered a glass of wine and they let you try a sip before pouring you a glass just in case you don't like it. As a non-wine drinker I thought that was so nice! Bread to Share (5/5): We opted for the garlic butter and cheese option and it was divine! So flavorful and the bread was super crispy. Ribeye (5/5): I loved the char on this ribeye and it has to be one of the best steaks I've had. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was so tender and flavorful. Seared Scallop Pasta (5/5): I promise you won't regret ordering this. The spicy tomato sauce paired perfectly with the squid ink pasta. The scallops were huge and each bite was perfection. My mouth is watering just thinking about it again. Olive Oil Whipped Yukon Potatoes (4/5): This dish didn't really stand out to me, but was still a good side to have along with our main dishes. I will 100% be back again in the future because my experience was so good and so was the food. Everything is on the pricier side but I think it's worth it for what you get. Perfect for a date night, birthday celebration, or just a night out with the girls like what I did.
Came here for date night with wife and wanted something romantic and classy and that's what we got coming here. Service was excellent and attentive to our wants. My steak was grilled perfectly the way I like it, medium rare. We had seating right at the window looking out to the city lights. I would recommend this place to friends and family as well as fellow Yelpers as I had a wonderful date night with a wonderful person, great food, and easy parking in structure connected to building. Pricey but worth it.
